Real training
Comprehensive orientation in your first two weeks plus ongoing professional development — consumer rights, person-centered planning, behavior support, and more.
Flexible schedules
Direct services run seven days a week including evenings and weekends. We build schedules around staff availability and client needs.
Supported, never alone
Supervisory check-ins, observation, and feedback are built into the job. You always have someone in your corner.
Direct Support Professional
One-on-one support to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. You’ll teach practical independent-living skills (cooking, money management, transit, community participation) and help the people you support move toward their own goals.
What we look for
- · Genuine respect for adults with developmental disabilities
- · Strong communication and listening skills
- · Reliable transportation and a valid California driver’s license
- · Ability to pass a background check and TB screening (required before start)
- · Comfort working independently in clients’ homes and community settings
- · Prior experience with developmental disabilities is helpful but not required — we train you
What you’ll do
- · Provide one-on-one ILS instruction in clients’ homes and communities
- · Implement Individual Service Plans aligned with each person’s IPP goals
- · Document each session with detailed case notes and progress data
- · Coach without controlling — your job is to support, not to do the task for someone
- · Participate in supervisory meetings and ongoing training
